As of last night, the State of California is ordering all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence, except as needed to maintain continuity of operation of the federal critical infrastructure sectors, critical government services, schools, childcare, and construction, including housing construction. Click here to read the order.
The order in California differs from the State of New York. In New York, there is a partial closure, allowing for staggered shifts and retention of 25% of the workforce, with exceptions for essential sectors but complete closedown of restaurants, bars, gyms, hair & nail salons.
Halloween costumes and decor are not considered essential needs. Apparel companies that are now producing "protective gear" are considered essential. Click here for information on identifying critical workforce.
State by State Policies are subject to rapid change. We will continue to keep members updated as the business impact of COVID-19 evolves.
