We're excited to introduce the Halloween & Costume Association Awards, honoring the imaginative spirit of the Halloween and costume industry. This award shines a bright light on the inventive ideas and achievements that make our industry unique. Submitting entries and judging is easy and entirely online, making it accessible to everyone across different categories and regions. We're embracing the digital age to ensure everyone can participate and celebrate the magic of Halloween and creative design. The categories for the HCA Awards have been crafted to mirror the dynamic nature of our industry. Our panel of industry experts, carefully chosen by a dedicated task force, will select the winners. The Spooky Award aims to recognize outstanding individuals and organizations who push the boundaries of creativity.

Accessories (Wigs,Shoes,Hats,etc.)

Step into the spotlight and submit for our Accessories Award, open to all categories. We're searching for the most captivating, innovative accessories that elevate costumes to new heights. Whether it's enchanting wigs that transform personas, statement shoes that dance with flair, or whimsical hats that add the perfect finishing touch, this category celebrates the artistry and creativity that make Halloween costumes truly unforgettable. Join us in honoring the accessories that inspire imagination and turn ordinary into extraordinary.

Costume

This award has six categories that celebrate the pinnacle of costume design.

Adult's - Seeking submissions that redefine boundaries, whisking us to realms of enchantment, fantasy, and terror.
Children's - Celebrate adorable characters to fantastical creatures that embody childhood fantasy.
Licensed - Manufacturers can shine with an award for the innovative showcasing creativity and market appeal.
Non-Character - Whether a skyscraper or a weather phenomenon, we applaud creativity that defies roles.
Scary/Horror - From classic icons to original nightmares, we celebrate mastery in fear-inducing transformations.
Most Unique category - one of a kind creation!

Decor (Electronic,Inflatable,Lawn,etc.)

We're searching for the most bewitching, spine-tingling decorations that transform spaces into immersive realms of terror and delight. Whether it's electrifying electronic displays, towering inflatables that command attention, or eerie lawn decor that sets the scene for haunted tales, this category celebrates the artistry and innovation that turn ordinary spaces into Halloween spectacles.

DEI (Best Application of Environmental Social Governance)

Open to all categories, compete for our DEI award, showcasing dedication to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We're seeking submissions demonstrating outstanding commitment to fostering diversity, promoting equity, and upholding inclusive practices. Join us in honoring those leading the way to build a more equitable and inclusive society.

Makeup

This award has three categories!

Character - celebrates the artistry of bringing fictional personas to life through makeup, transcending realms of fantasy, literature, film, and beyond.
3D - tranformations that push traditional techniques' boundaries, bringing characters to life with depth, texture, and realism.
Scary/Horror - from chilling nightmares to haunting creations, we applaud makeup mastery that are inspired to send shivers down spines.

Masks

This award honors the pinnacle of craftsmanship and creativity in mask design. Recognizing excellence in form and function, this accolade celebrates masks that ignite the imagination, elevate costumes, and leave a lasting impression.

Most Innovative
(Open to all categories)

Packaging
