An Ominous Reminder: The Final Call for the First Annual Halloween &
Costume Association Awards Submissions is Imminent

MT LAUREL, NJ (July 25, 2024) - The Halloween & Costume Association (HCA) sends forth this spectral communiqué reminding Halloween enthusiasts near and far that the deadline for submissions to the inaugural Spooky Awards is creeping ever closer. August 1st, that most foreboding of dates, is but a few nights away!

The hour is late, and the sands of time are nearly spent. Those who dare to partake in this celebration of eye-catching costumes, and ghoulish glamour must act now or risk being forever haunted by the specter of missed opportunity. Only the freshest phantasmagoria, conjured within the past year or destined to materialize in the next five moons, shall be considered. Prior incarnations haunting the market shall find no sanctuary here.

This is the final summons for all to present their most fiendish creations—be they spine-chilling costumes, awe-inspiring accessories, or drop-dead gorgeous decorations. The discerning spirits of the judging panel await, eager to evaluate submissions against a cauldron-full of criteria including Innovation, Marketability, Trendsetting Potential, Appeal, and Usefulness.

Entrants must complete the official entry form online by the witching hour of August 1st. HCA members enjoy the ghostly advantage of a first submission FREE, with subsequent entries haunting the realm at $50 each. Non-members may partake in the competition for $100 per entry. Be warned: the submission fee is non-refundable, so participants are advised to choose their concoctions wisely.

The most enchanting entries in each category shall be unveiled as finalists on or around October 1, 2024. These chosen few will receive an official HCA Industry Awards logo, a talisman of their dark achievements. Winners will be revealed in a grand ceremony at the Halloween & Party Expo in January in the bewitching city of Las Vegas.
