Halloween & Costume Association Celebrates 20 Years as the Voice of the Halloween Industry

MT LAUREL, NJ (September 15, 2025)— The Halloween & Costume Association proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary, marking two decades as the preeminent authority on Halloween and a non-profit voice for the industry. Since its founding in 2005, HCA has advocated for its members by advocating for policies that support a thriving, safe, and innovative industry. We have collaborated with influential industry groups on critical issues such as trade policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance that affect our members and consumers. HCA members receive discounts on legal resources, exclusive discounts on exhibiting at the Halloween & Party Expo, and more.

Over the past 20 years, HCA has celebrated numerous milestones, including:

• As producers of North America’s only all-encompassing Halloween event—the Halloween & Party Expo, in partnership with Clarion Events—HCA brings together the largest gathering of Halloween businesses, collectively generating $523 million in sales each year.
• Support of our members during the COVID years.
• International Halloween Show in NYC for the earliest look at the premier costumes, novelties, and products for the upcoming Halloween season.
• The Spooky Awards, the official celebration of innovation, creativity, and excellence in the Halloween industry.

Celebrating 20 years of inspiring the Halloween and costume industry, the Association continues to showcase the creativity and innovation that make this community so unique. In just two weeks, we’ll reveal the finalists for the 2nd Annual Spooky Awards, plus a special fan-focused surprise sure to be a hit. Winners will be announced at the Halloween & Party Expo this January.
